I do it every day and this allows me to:
1. Take 5 deep breaths before starting with the nose through the mouth. This will lower your adrenaline level.
2. Wear something with which you feel comfortable, not too hot. You feel warm and become aware of receiving a red face.
3. Shake hands, the audience will entertain them with something that I did not feel like all eyes are on you.
4. Prepare Prepare, prepare. Do you know your subject, the best thing that you do not learn by heart, because then the sounds robotic, but just very familiar with the matter, so that you feel more relaxed. Will not try to read a "cheat sheet" to tend to and kill the energy in the room. Also, be prepared for questions that does not mean that "not known"
5. Present with enthusiasm, it is extremely important. The hearing was more nutritious and more energetic than the audience can enjoy and in its presentation.

Hope this helps, good luck and have fun!
